Direct Primary Care — or DPC — is a simple idea that's changing the way people experience healthcare. Instead of billing insurance for every visit, your doctor charges a straightforward monthly membership fee. That's it. No copays, no surprise bills.
What that means for you in practice is a physician who actually has time for you. Time to listen during appointments without one eye on the clock. Time to answer your messages directly. Time to know not just your chart, but your life — your job, your family, your health goals, and your concerns. It's not concierge medicine. It's not a subscription gimmick. It's just medicine done the way most doctors went into this field wanting to practice it — and the way most patients have always deserved to receive it.
Dr. Kristin Steffes is a board-certified Family Medicine physician. She earned her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and her medical degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. She completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where she also pursued advanced training in Women’s Health. During residency, she was honored with both the Resident of the Year Award and the Outstanding Professionalism Award.
Dr. Steffes founded her practice with a clear purpose—to return to a more personal, attentive style of medicine. She believes meaningful care begins with time: time to listen, to understand each patient’s story, and to build a trusting relationship. Her approach allows patients to feel heard and supported in making informed decisions about their health.
She provides care across all stages of life, with a focus on chronic disease management, prevention, and whole-person care, including mental health. Dr. Steffes is passionate about caring for families and often serves multiple generations, helping patients navigate their health within the context of their family.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters and is an avid college sports fan.
